“Land of Promise”

Set in verdant greens on a down-sloping hill, these thirteen three-meter tall white concrete slabs defined the island of Mindanao before it became infamous for insurgencies and terrorism. With vast lands of fertile soil believed to grow anything you plant abundantly, the island was for its people a promised one.

The “Land of Promise” typography has become one of the more popular landmarks in Davao City. It is laid within the GAP farm resort along the diversion in Maa. The farm/park was established way back in 1973 and still continues to draw crowd from educational tours from different schools in the island.
